Theological Quiz

In order to make the students cautious about the current incidents that are taking place in our society, PVP arranged a Quiz Competition for all the students who are studying in all the institutions affiliated to PVP. This quiz was conducted in two rounds, the first round, which was a preliminary round, was conducted in their perspective institutions on 24 November 2022 and the second round, which was the final round, was conducted on 27 January 2023 at the Cardinal Tisserant Auditorium in St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary, Vadavathoor. INAUGURATION OF THE INSTITUTE OF PHILOSOPHY

The Autonomous Institute of Cycle I of Philosophy was erected by The Dicastery for Culture and Education for Culture and Education on 12 December 2022 an Autonomous Institute of Philosophy at Paurastya Vidyapitham (PVP) granting only the First Cycle degree, without being affiliated to a Faculty. The Institute has the faculty to award canonical degree of Baccalaureate in Philosophy (B. Ph) to students. The official inauguration of the Autonomous Institute of Philosophy at Paurastya Vidyapitham (PVP), Kottayam is scheduled for 7 February 2023.

Conclusion of the Diamond Jubilee of ST. THOMAS APOSTOLIC SEMINARY and Ruby Jubilee of PAURASTYA VIDYAPITHAM

The conclusion of the Jubliee celebrations of the seminary and the PVP was on 28 June 2022 with solemn concelebration of Holy Qurbana with His Beatitude Mar George Cardinal Alencherry as the main celebrant along with Rt. Rev. Dr. Sebastian Thekkethecheril (Bishop of Vijayapuram) and Thomas Mar Koorilos (Metropolitan Archbishop of Thiruvalla). The Metropolitan Archbishop of Changanacherry, Mar Joseph Perumthottam, delivered the homily. The Jubilee Gathering was conducted in Cardinal Tisserant Hall at 10.00 am. Fr. Rector welcomed the guests. His Beatitude George Cardinal Alencherry, the Major Archishop of the Syro Malabar Church and the Chancellor of the PVP gave the inaugural address.
