Our faculty members and students are engaged in in-depth study and research contributing to the exegetical and theological developments in the fields of Biblical Theology, Syriac Theology, General Eastern Theology, and Eastern Canon Law. Our students have the opportunity to work alongside the experts, gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for careers in the various ministries of the various sui iuris churches.
Paurastya Vidyapitham (PVP) began as the theology department of St Thomas Apostolic Seminary, Vadavathoor, which in the course of time, was erected as an autonomous Faculty of Theology under the name Pontifical Oriental Institute of Religious Studies, India.
