Paurastya Vidyapitham (PVP) began as the theology department of St Thomas Apostolic Seminary, Vadavathoor, which in the course of time, was erected as an autonomous Faculty of Theology under the name Pontifical Oriental Institute of Religious Studies, India.

PVP functions in the campus of St Thomas Apostolic Seminary, Vadavathoor.
